To celebrate Blue Lion's 30th Anniversary in 2007, we built a one-of-a-kind dulcimer. It was built with 30 year old bookmatched Brazilian rosewood back and sides, scroll peghead, and a 30 year old spruce top.

We have received many inquiries about this instrument and built several based on its specifications: while we do not have any more of the 30 year old spruce, we do have premium quality spruce that has been in our shop, air drying, for at least 25 years, and sets of Brazilian rosewood which are also at least 25 years old.

In addition to the spruce top and Brazilian rosewood body, the instrument features an ebony fretboard, blue paua shell tree of life inlay, bookmatched curly maple binding and purfling, inlaid marquetry backstrip, bone nut and saddle, gold Schaller planetary tuners, ƒ-heart soundholes and high gloss, hand-rubbed lacquer finish.

The instrument can also be ordered with a different inlay and/or a Western red cedar top and other custom options. Price depends on features ordered.
