Blue Lion FINGERPICKS — $5.00

Shipping - $2.00 if ordered separately

Two extremely lightweight and comfortable .015 gauge nickel silver Dunlop "mini" fingerpicks and a nylon thumbpick make up this set. The fingerpicks are lighter and easier to adjust (and to get used to) than the standard gauge metal fingerpicks. The set comes in a small plastic ziploc bag for storage.

INSTRUMENT CARE

FINGERBOARD OIL$5.00 All unfinished wood is subject to drying in response to environmental factors, and drying out of the fretboard can cause all sorts of problems, including cracks or loose frets. For use on unfinished fretboards, this light oil penetrates, moisturizes and helps to preserve the fingerboard wood. It is nontoxic and won't get sticky or develop a film. The 2 oz. bottle will last a long time and has a pleasant orange odor. This oil is our choice for maintaining and preserving rosewood and ebony fingerboards.

HUMIDIFIER $4.00 In very dry environments, a humidifier may be needed to protect an instrument from drying out and cracking. The Herco Guard-Father humidity control is a special clay mixture in a plastic container which slowly releases moisture to prevent cracking due to drying of wood. Small enough to keep in your instrument case the humidifier lasts practically forever.

CHROMATIC TUNER

KORG CA-30 — $20.00

We are pleased to offer one of the most innovative and feature-packed chromatic tuners available today. This tuner is extremely accurate to plus/minus 1 cent and it offers features not found on many other tuners. List price is $35.00.

CA-30
Chromatic tuner
dimensions: 4" long x 2 3/8" wide x 1/2" deep

weight: less than 3 oz. with batteries

We are pleased to offer one of the most innovative and feature-packed chromatic tuners available today. This tuner is extremely accurate to plus/minus 1 cent and it offers features not found on many other tuners. List price: $32.00.

The Korg CA-30 tuner takes chromatic tuners to another level both in terms of price and features. The readout has a high-precision LCD needle-type meter for stable tuning and also identifies the note being played; the readout is complemented by sharp/flat indicator lights (handy for tuning in low light conditions).

The tuner features a built-in high-sensitivity microphone and also offers a monaural jack if you wish to plug into the tuner using the Carat CA-100 Contact Microphone or tune from an acoustic instrument pickup.

Sound Out mode produces a reference tone for any of the twelve notes from an internal speaker. The calibration function supports a variety of concert pitches; the tuner defaults to concert 440. The tuning range is from C1 to C8 for a wide range of pitch detection.

The tuner has an automatic power-off function which helps to conserve battery life by shutting the unit off after 20 minutes. The tuner runs on two AAA batteries.

In short—you get a fully chromatic tuner with microphone or plug-in note input; 12 tone sound generator, automatic shut off, and an easy-to-read display for the amazing price of only $20.00. In spite of the price, this is a durable, beautifully designed and engineered tuner. Its small size and light weight make it easy to carry with your instrument and its versatility allows it to be used for just about any acoustic instrument.

METRONOME

KORG MA-30 — $30.00

Using a metronome will greatly improve your musical performance, and we've finally found one with great features at a great price. This metronome far outclasses the competition in its features, precision and reliability. List price is $35.00

MA-30
dimensions: 4" long x 2 1/2" wide x 1/2" deep

weight: less than 3 oz. with batteries

The Korg MA-30 Metronome is portable, versatile and precise. Tempo can be set by number or by using the Tap Tempo function which allows you to tap in any tempo. A large, highly visible LCD pendulum indicates the beats; there is a volume control as well as a mute button.

13 types of time signatures are built in. You can select from 0-7 beats, double and triple meter, triplets without the middle note, quadruplets, and quadruplets without the middle notes. This feature makes it suitable for a wide variety of musical styles from classic to Celtic, rock and jazz.

In the Sound Out mode the metronome generates any one of 12 notes for tuning purposes; you can specify pitch and adjust the calibration.

You can connect a commercially available mini-plug (1/8" ) earphone to the MA-30 for private listening, which cancels the speaker output.

Tempo, beat, reference pitch, calibration and mute setting (on/off) are remembered even when you turn off the power.

The Tap Tempo function is a great feature for generating a tempo to match what you "hear" in your head; instead of hunting around for the number tempo setting, you physically tap in the tempo at which you wish to play.

Uses two AAA batteries (included), with an approximate life of 250 hours.

Every player will benefit from using a metronome to check their timing and rhythm, and this one makes it simple and affordable. Until you try one, you won't know what a difference it can make!

CHROMATIC TUNER & METRONOME

KORG TM-40 — $35.00

TM-40
dimensions: 5.25” long x 3.03 “ wide x .71” deep

weight: 3.07 oz. with batteries

The Korg TM-40 Digital tuner metronome is a compact all-in-one chromatic tuner and metronome, combining the features of the Korg CA-30 tuner and the MA-30 Metronome into one small unit and adding additional functionality.

The tuner has a wide tuning range for use with most instruments and a 12 note reference tone for audible tuning and ear training. Detection and sound accuracy is better than +/- 1 cent.

The metronome has a tempo range from 40 to 208 beats per minute and can be set either by bpm or tap tone. Time signatures are indicated from 0 to 7, and include duplets, triplets, triplets without the center beat, quadruplets, and quadruplets without the center beats. Tempo accuracy is +/- 0.3%.

Both tuner and metronome functions can be accessed via 1/4” mono imput jack and both function with 1/8” mini earphone jack.

Power supply is two AAA batteries (included). Battery life for the tuner is approximately 70 hours (continuous input) and approximately 50 hours for the metronome at tempo 120, four beats, maximum volume.

The tuner and metronome can be used independently of each other or together. List price: $40.00

CONTACT MICROPHONE — KORG CM-100 — $13.00

(shipping: $4.25 if ordered separately; if ordered with Korg CA-30 tuner, no extra charge–counts as one item)

contact microphone

The Korg CM-100 contact microphone allows you to plug in to the Korg CA-30 (or any other Korg tuner) to tune an instrument without any outside noise interference. It is handy for use in classroom or backstage situations when external noise can make an electronic tuner less precise.

This input microphone is lightweight, takes up little space, and features a soft clip for attaching to the peghead or tuning machine or tuning pin of the instrument. Unlike other contact microphones, which often utilize a metal alligator clip, this clip will not mar the finish of your instrument.

The contact pickup is sensitive enough to pick up instrument vibrations even through a solid peghead, and the clip is flexible enough to attach to a wide variety surfaces and yet strong enough to not "pop off".

DULCIMER STAND - $145.00

(shipping $15.00) • Availability limited
Call for availability

The Blue Lion dulcimer stand is designed to be a sturdy and elegant way to keep your instrument out and handy while still offering a relatively safe way to display it. While no stand will offer the protection you achieve when keeping the instrument in its case, many folks want their instruments out and easily available for playing at a moment's notice. For performing, it's been designed to accommodate different shapes of instruments without readjustment, so if you're playing a bass and a standard dulcimer (for instance) both will fit on the same stand.

This stand is built of solid walnut and is adjustable to fit almost any dulcimer. The Blue Lion logo is laser etched onto the face of the stand. The base and body of the stand support the instrument, while the upper arms keep the instrument from tilting one way or the other. The arms are adjustable both horizontally and vertically and are are held in place by a black three-sided knob which makes it very easy to tighten securely.

The back support is also held by another knob, so when you pick up the stand the support leg does not swing freely. This makes it easy to move the stand around without having to reset the support. The support leg features a positive stop so it cannot open further than the engineered angle.

The dulcimer rests on a felt lined base, and felt strips also protect the back of the instrument where it rests against the stand. The upper arms are covered in clear tubing which prevents the instrument from being scratched when moving it in and out of the stand.

Due to limited resources(us) this stand is a limited production item. We will try and have them in stock, however; if you're contemplating ordering one for a gift, check with us at least a month or two in advance to make sure we can have one ready.
