WE'RE STARTING THE NEXT RUN...
For those of you who have so patiently been waiting for us to begin work on your orders we are ready to go and have begun cutting out fretboards as of 8/15.
This run has no more openings for orders as we are at our production capacity; orders placed now will be put into the last run of the year which will start in late fall/early winter.
NEW PRICES FOR 2015
We've absorbed a lot of price increases for both materials and shipping over the past several years in an effort to keep our instruments affordable but it's finally gotten to the point where, reluctantly, we have to make some adjustments.
Prices will be going up on some models effective 1/1/15 (click on Current Price List for pdf) and we are no longer able to offer a flat shipping rate for instruments.
SHIPPING COST INCREASE
UPS has begun to start charging by "dimensional weight" (the size of the package) when it is more than the actual weight of a package so our shipping costs are going to increase across the board. In order to make this as fair as possible we are going to begin charging what UPS charges us which will vary by zone. We'll still be paying for the packaging, insurance and myriad delivery surcharges so you will still be paying less than the actual cost to ship.
OUR WOOD SOURCES
Articles are appearing in the media concerning the illegal harvesting and use of East Indian Rosewood and othe exotic hardwood species. We buy all of our rosewood through a licensed importer; and as with all of the woods we use at Blue Lion, our rosewood is CITES certified and legally imported.
